Case Study: Designing a Digital Showroom for CP Fashion Group

The Client

CP Fashion Group is a family-owned fashion showroom in the heart of Manhattan. For more than 15 years, they have represented and distributed contemporary high-end fashion brands to boutique buyers across North America — six brands, more than 1,000 buyers, and a showroom on West 36th Street that feels more like a gallery than a sales floor.

When a company sells taste for a living, its website has to embody that taste before a single word is read.

The Challenge

CP Fashion Group's digital presence didn't match the quality of what happens inside their showroom. Buyers searching for the brands they represent found an outdated site that undersold the calibre of the portfolio: André Maurice, House of Florence, Pianegonda, Via Masini 80, PANCHIC and in bed with yOu deserve a stage, not a filing cabinet.

The brief was clear: build a digital showroom — a website that feels like walking into their Manhattan space. Understated, confident, and built to turn boutique buyers into showroom appointments.

Design Decisions

Typography that whispers luxury

We paired a high-contrast classic serif for headlines with a clean, wide-tracked sans-serif for navigation and metadata. The serif carries the fashion heritage; the sans-serif keeps the experience modern and effortless. Nothing shouts. Everything is deliberate.

A monochrome palette

Black on white, with generous grey tones for structure. Fashion buyers spend their days immersed in colour and pattern — a monochrome site gives the collections room to speak. The website is the frame, never the artwork.

White space as a feature

Luxury is confidence, and confidence is comfortable with emptiness. We used wide margins, consistent vertical rhythm, and a strict grid so every section breathes. The result reads like a printed lookbook.

Photography-first

The brand pages are built as a gallery: large imagery, minimal labels, no clutter. Each brand gets equal visual weight, letting buyers scan the full portfolio in seconds.

What We Built

  • Home — an editorial hero introducing CP Fashion Group as the exclusive fashion showroom, with direct paths to the brands
  • Brands — a gallery-style grid showcasing all six labels with full brand pages
  • About — the family story and President Enrico Di Muccio's 30 years of fashion-industry leadership
  • Trade Shows — a live calendar, with the SS27 Sales Campaign featured front and centre
  • Contact — showroom address, direct enquiries, and an appointment-first model

Under the hood, the site is fast, mobile-first, and search-ready — structured for both Google and AI search engines, so buyers asking "where can I find André Maurice in the US?" land in the right place.

The Result

The new cpfashiongroup.com launched with a design that finally matches the standard of the showroom itself. The site presents six luxury brands the way they deserve to be seen, promotes the SS27 sales campaign prominently, and gives boutique buyers a clean, credible reason to book an appointment.

For a company whose entire value is curation, the website is now part of the sales conversation.

What This Means for Your Business

If your business represents quality — whether that's fashion, food, property, or professional services — your website is the first showroom most clients ever visit. The question is never just "does it look nice?" It's "does it feel like us, and does it make the right people want to take the next step?"

That is the standard we build to at mCm Design London. If your website is underselling what you do, let's talk.
